      As the sun rises in the land of Nana Huchy, the toysfolk stir. Dragons, dinosaurs, & dolls, mingle with sea creatures & native animals, going about their complex, daily lives & relishing their roles of finding a small child to love.

      Even as grown ups, we never forget our most treasured toys. The ones threadbare from love & brandishing stains due to never leaving our side. The ones immortalised in baby photos & recalled fondly by the names we gave them. In turn, the ones that evolved our imaginations, always present at sleepovers or Nana’s house & self-assigned confidants of our childhood secrets - the stuff that stays with you forever & ever.

      Established in 2003, Melbourne-based Nana Huchy is the brainchild of Lucy Morrison, mother of two rambunctious humans & one very affectionate dog. The brand curates classic toys, gifts & baby blankets made from beautifully soft materials & produced with superior quality – a nod to Nana & the things she used to craft. Made with love, the goal is always to encourage imagination & of course, to make memories for a long time to come.

      All our products are designed here in Australia. As much as we would love them to be manufactured here too, we are unable to do this. Aside from the high costs involved, Australia no longer has local factories to accommodate our superior quality & high level of production.

      We've worked with the same company in China for over fifteen years. They are a wonderful company to work with & are BSCI Certified (Business Social Compliance Initiative).  This means they have been independently audited for various performance areas including but not limited to:

      Are your products safe for children?
      We take child safety very seriously & all our products are independently safety-tested as follows:

      -Australian / New Zealand Standard AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2019 (safety aspects related to mechanical & physical properties)
      -Australian / New Zealand Standard on Safety of Toys Pass AS/NZS 8124.2:2016 (flammability)
      -Australian / New Zealand Standard on Safety of Toys AS/NZS ISO Pass 8124-3:2021 (for toxic elements test)

      We use a variety of fabrics including cotton, linen, polyester & blends. The interior fill contains polyester fibres and, when applicable, plastic pellets are used to shape and weight the toys. The pellets are safely bagged inline with AS/NZS Child Safety requirements.
